With over 400,000 battles already being played out on Steam alone, and with the commencement of Season One today, there is no better time to check out Warlander – it is free, after all! In celebration of the console launch of Warlander (the game has been available on PC through Steam since January of this year), developers Toylogic have crafted two new maps – Dawn Bridge B and Moonlit Temple – to engage in gentlemanly combat on, as well as two new skills to decimate any foes with – the cleric’s Divine Hammer, and the mage’s ultimate skill, Phoenix. Whether you fit into the warrior, mage or cleric role, there will be a set of abilities that perfectly fits your playstyle in intricate combat. The transition to the Xbox One will not mean an end of support for the 360 version, as both versions of the game will receive events and updates in the future.Add into the mix an array of siege weapons, magical abilities, and even the shear might that huge attack robots bring, and soon enough your screen will be lit up with all manner of colourful attacks. The game will feature a story-driven campaign, as well as multiplayer modes for up to 30 players, which veterans of the 360 version should already know all about. Players will be able to pick from six different character classes - Warrior, Mage, Cleric, Berserker, Zephyr, or Engineer. The Xbox One version will, of course, also have enhanced graphics from its original version. For those concerned about losing all of their progress with their character's items on the 360 version, fear not, as your characters and items will come with you to the new console, through Xbox Live. Four-player local multiplayer in split-screen will now be available, as well as online cross-play between the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Rather than just a simple port, Happy Wars on Xbox One will have several new features of its own. Announced this morning, Happy Wars will be the latest game to make the transition to the next generation console.
